Traveling with the Sketchbook: Córdoba and Doñana

Travel to attend workshops is an opportunity to meet new places. Thus I have been able to see Mars in the Earth, Córboa and a tiny part of Doñana.

Viajar para asistir a talleres es una oportunidad de conocer lugares nuevos. Así he podido ver Marte en la Tierra, Córboa y una pequeña parte de Doñana.

I have discovered hidden characters inside Doñana lagoons. It was a very special moment in a nice company.

En Doñana, descubrí personajes escondidos en sus lagunas, disfrutando muchísimo de un momento muy especial en buena compañía.

Cordoba has surprised me a lot. It is very different from the one I had imagined. I especially treasure the moment when I crossed for the first time the threshold of the Mosque. I dream with the omelets that looked like Parmesan cheese. If you visit Cordoba please go to the Bar Santos (next to the Mosque-Cathedral) and order an omelet tapa.

Córdoba me sorprendió mucho, era muy diferente a la que había imaginado. Atesoro especialmente el instante en el que por primera vez crucé el umbral de la Mezquita, las tortillas que parecían quesos parmesanos. Si vas a Córdoba visita el bar Santos (junto a la Mezquita-Catedral) y pide una tapa de tortilla.

Getting lost in the neighborhood of the Jewish had a prize, enjoyed a delicious gelato while I was isolated, it is a double pleasure.

Perderse por la judería tiene premio, y es poder disfrutar de un rico helado al solete de invierno, un placer doble.

The stones can being together

Two weeks quite disconnected from the world, connected with me and other people who have enriched me in a huge way, thank everyone. Also to you that you are there on the other side of the screen despite the absence of last week, thank you very much.

Dos semanas bastante desconectada del mundo, conectada conmigo y otras personas que me han enriquecido de una manera increíble, gracias. También a ti que estás ahí al otro lado de la pantalla a pesar de la ausencia de lal semana pasada, muchas gracias.

Being together

Two weeks in which, as little as I got, it made me very sad. Visiting the mosque of Cordoba for the first time moved me to tears. In that place, I had difficulty understanding why the stones can be and collaborating together like humans seem incapable. The feeling and the thought remain … We are capable, I am sure, it implies love and respect for each and every one of us, humans … and it is not something alien, distant, you and I are also responsible for it.

Dos semanas en los que, lo poco que me llegaba, me entristecía y mucho. Visitar la mezquita de Córdoba por primera vez me emocionó hasta las lágrimas. En ese lugar me costó entender por qué las piedras pueden ser y colaborar juntas como los humanos parecemos incapaces. La sensación y el pensamiento permancen… Somos capaces, estoy segura, implica amor y respeto por todos y cada uno de nosotros, humanos… y no es algo ajeno, distante, tú y yo somos responsables también de ello.

I come back full of ideas and desire, sharpen my ax has worked and now it’s my turn to put order and above all to give way to all that bulges in the chest and head.

Vuelvo llena de ideas y ganas, lo de afilar mi hacha ha funcionado y ahora me toca poner orden y sobre todo dar salida a todo eso que bulle en el pecho y la cabeza.
